SOFTBALL COLISEUM
The Coliseum was built for The World Games 2013 in the Jaime Aparicio Sports Unit, on the Carrera 39 with Autopista Suroriental, in an area of 8.900 m2 of which 6.000 m2 correspond to the field. It has a capacity for 1.650 attendees.
The structure’s design was adjusted 5 degrees from the Sun’s position, avoiding any discomfort at the pitcher’s sight, and was endorsed by the International Softball Federation. Apart from the pitch and stands, this stadium has sports halls, dressing rooms, bathrooms, anti doping and nursing areas, as well as administrative areas, access for people with physical disabilities, evacuation points, cafeteria areas and lighting for evening events.
