DEL DEPARTAMENTO CLUB

In 1967, the Valle Governor at that moment, Mr. Libardo Lozano Guerrero, acquired the land adjacent to the Pance river, where is currently the Valle State’s Sports and Social Club (Club Deportivo y Social del Departamento in Spanish).

With the continued support of the National Government, a group of employees of the Valle Governorship achieved in 1975 the construction of the facilities, which where inaugurated with the presence of the President of the Republic.

This venue is located 10 minutes away from the city limits of Cali, at Km 14 via La Vorágine, in a privileged river landscape, mountains and forest.  It was inaugurated in 1975 with the intention of providing recreation services to its members and other beneficiaries, to promote respect for life and human dignity.

The Club's main objective is to provide recreation services to its members and other beneficiaries. It has natural water, a semi-Olympic pool for adults, a children's pool, an ecological path, spa, gym, football field and basketball court, TV room with a big screen television set, games (ping pong, toad, chess, Parcheesi and cards), playgrounds, horse riding, food court and parking.

During all these years as a provider of healthy recreation and fun for its members and beneficiaries, the Club has been characterized by its excellent service and highly qualified group of employees. Likewise, the Club promotes values ​​ for families and friends.

The World Games 2013 Cali, Orienteering competitions will be held at this Club in the modalities of half-distance and relays.
